Driving Force
My career as a creative professional began modestly: designing flyers, business cards, logos and other corporate communications for friends and local small businesses. Attending college exposed me to the pre-press printing process, desktop publishing and a broader creative community involving artists of all disciplines. This exposure fostered a deep desire to learn, communicate and tell stories in unique and innovative ways. Over the years I was granted opportunities at agencies, studios, production companies and not-for-profit organizations to develop brands, entertain, teach and unlock the potential in others through multimedia production, websites, film, publications, digital signs and social media. Staying on top of technology and design trends, accompanied with a passion for helping and understanding others, have been the driving forces behind my career as a creative professional.

Media Designer
Being the sole in-house designer led me to design and develop a “Creative Services Queue” web application to help manage the extremely high workload. Working with the VP of Public Affairs, I re-branded the organization as well as the neighbouring Balsillie School of International Affairs. I also played a major role in designing and publishing CIGI’s first-ever eBook. Other noted accomplishments include spear-heading the sustainability committee, training and managing the publications department in an InDesign/InCopy workflow, providing enterprise Macintosh training and support for the IT department, designing and developing a custom web application integrating Cisco and Christie digital signs.
